How Does The Ghost Golf Magnetic Towel Look?

The Magnet

Believe it or not, the Ghost Golf Magnetic Towel has a magnet built into it. Shocker right? Even if that’s a little bit obvious that this towel has a magnet, it’s important to acknowledge that the Ghost Golf magnet is very powerful. This thing can pick up your club by the shaft like you were using The Force and it will stick to just about anything in a golf cart no matter the weather.

The magnet is hidden within a silicone logo patch at one of the corners of the towel to keep it on brand and looking slick. The patch is meaty probably due to the strength and size of the magnet, but not so much so that it gets in the way of anything that you’re trying to do.

Overall, the core benefit that the Ghost Golf Magnetic Towel delivers against it is being magnetic and it does that by having a super strong magnet built into it.

The Waffle-Weave

These golf towels are made with a waffle weave pattern with deep waffle pockets. Several towel manufacturers are now making their towels with waffle pockets rather than traditional cloth due to the way the weaves find their way into the grooves of golf clubs and the dimples of golf balls. We found the waffle weave pockets to be effective and these do seem to help these towels get all of the dirt and sand off of balls and clubs.

The Microfiber Material

If this towel didn’t have the hefty magnet built in and the clever Ghost Golf branding, you probably wouldn’t be able to tell that this was a microfiber cloth that you would use around the house for cleaning up dust. While that might sound like a bad thing, we think its actually a pretty big benefit.

Brands like Golf Ghost understand that microfiber is really good at picking up small bits of dirt and dust. If you’ve played a single round of golf, you know that even the best golfers are going to get dirt and sand on their clubs and balls. The game is played on turf after all. Ultimately, this is a sharp-looking golf towel made by a company that gets high marks for branding all around.  4.5/5 stars for Look.

How Well Does A Ghost Golf Magnetic Golf Towel Work?

Spooky good

In The Cart

One of the things we didn’t know we needed was a golf towel that sticks to the side of the golf cart. And, boy, does this towel stick to pretty much any part of the golf cart you can think of. The magnet built into the silicone logo patch is extremely strong and would not fall off of our cart even when we were rubbing our club on the cloth.

We really like leaving the towel attached to the seat area of the cart so it doesn’t fly in your face while you’re riding, but its right there to be used on balls and clubs when you need it.

On Golf Clubs

The Ghost Golf Magnetic towel also works extremely well on golf clubs. The waffle pattern weave does a good job of getting into the grooves of the clubs and the microfiber material picks up every last piece of dirt and grime that you could ever get on the clubs.

At Bogey Buddy, we like to wet our towel before a round as we find that is the best way to get some of mud off our weapons after a particularly chunky shot (we’re Bogey Buddy, not Birdie Buddy). The Ghost Golf towels can hold 400% of its weight in water and won’t dry out before your round is done.

Finally, these magnets also work super duper well on steel shafts of golf clubs. No more bending over to pick up those wedges you left greenside. You also don’t have to hurt your back picking up the putter that you throw across the other side of the green after you missed another chance at bird. This magnet is so strong, you don’t even have to touch the shaft to get the towel to pick it up. Spooky strong.

On Golf Balls

While golf towels may be used more often on golf clubs than golf balls, every golfer has gotten a chunk of something or other on their ball that they need wiped off. Or better yet, we’ve gotten lucky and found a lost ProV1 in the woods that was a little bit worse for wear. Sure they have those thin green towels right by the ball washing station that you can clean that baby with, but who wants to use that when you can use a Ghost Golf Magnetic Towel? Its like driving a Honda when you can afford a Range Rover. Overall, we find the Ghost Golf Magnetic

Towel to perform extremely well all around. The magnet is super strong and sticks to anything metal within a 5-mile radius. On top of that, the waffle weave pattern and the microfiber material do the heavy lifting of getting the dirt and sand off of your clubs and balls. 5/5 stars for Performance.

Is The Ghost Golf Magnetic Golf Towel High Quality?

Brand Reputation

Ghost Golf is an up and coming golf brand that got its start online. More and more brands, especially in the apparel and accessory space, have gotten their start this way due to the low cost of entry.

Ghost Golf has a sizable online following with over +35K followers on Instagram at the time of this writing. Beyond towels, they’ve also extended their brand to other categories in the golf space like gloves, hats, and even golf bags. Clearly Ghost Golf is doing something right (we think its their spooky little brand logo) and we have no doubt that this brand will continue to grow behind the strength of its branding.

Construction

The construction of the Ghost Golf Magnetic Towel seems solid to us. It certainly doesn’t seem to be something that is going to fall apart after a handful of rounds of golf. Beyond the silicone logo patch there is also a strap attached to a carabiner if, for some reason, you’d prefer to attach this to your golf bag via a clip rather than the magnet which seems solid as well.

Material

The microfiber material that the Ghost Golf Magnetic Towels are made of certainly seems to be of high quality to us. It doesn’t seem particularly different than the microfiber cloths that you’d use for cleaning around the house, but it does have the waffle pattern weave which makes a difference when you’re trying to get in between the grooves of clubs and dimples of balls.

Beyond just the physical material, we like that Ghost Golf offers these towels in several different colors. We tested the black version because we think it hides stains the best, but these come in more flashy colors like orange, neon green & hot pink.  5/5 stars for Quality

Is The Ghost Golf Magnetic Towel A Good Value?

There certainly are golf towels out there in the market that come in under what Ghost Golf charges for their magnetic golf towel. However, when you’re getting a premium product, oftentimes you have to pay a premium price. Given the quality of the magnet, the microfiber material and the waffle weave pattern, we think that coming in under $50 is still a solid value.

Ghost Golf might be a little pricey for the more frugal of golfers, but we think that this towel is going to last for a year of golf or more depending on how much you’re out there playing. And if you’re often taking a lot of turf. 3.5/5 stars for Value.

Final Thoughts on the Ghost Golf Magnetic Towel

Overall, we recommend the Ghost Golf Magnetic Towel for any golfer that likes premium accessories. This towel has an extremely strong magnetic that easily sticks to golf carts, golf club shafts and putter heads. We found it to be an extremely convenient accessory that we didn’t think we’d like as much as we actually did.

While there are cheaper golf towels available, we don’t really think there is a better one out there on the market today. The clever branding of Ghost Golf paired with the combination of features that their magnetic towel provides really can’t be beat.
